The Young Democrats of Allegheny County have enjoyed a strong history of electing Democrats who support young voters since the organization's creation in 1933. Many of the organization's members and former leadership have moved on to powerful positions in local, state, and national politics and many have sought and won elected office. Today, YDAC is among the most committed Young Democrats chapters in the state, helping to cultivate new voters in one of Pennsylvania's most crucial Democratic regions.

The Young Democrats of Allegheny County will promote the election of candidates who support the causes and concerns of Young Democrats everywhere. We are committed to getting young people involved in the voting process through voter registration drives, public forums with elected officials, and by providing the networking and political opportunities young Democrats need to succeed.
